Sensor Cable Manufacturer in India
Miracle Cables has produced specialty wires and cables since 1997, and sensor cable is a regular line in our automation range. We are a sensor cable manufacturer in India with our head office in Mumbai and production facilities in Maharashtra.
We make 3 sensor cable types: PVC shielded, PVC unshielded and PUR unshielded. Each one connects a sensor to its controller, carrying low-voltage supply and signal over a flexible multi-core cable. Our PUR version uses superfine bare copper strands to VDE 0812, with PVC-based core insulation under a black PUR sheath. It flexes at temperatures from -5°C to +70°C. Fixed installations handle -40°C to +80°C.

Sensor Cable Types We Manufacture
Our 3 sensor cable types differ by sheath material and screening. PVC shielded cables protect signals from interference, PVC unshielded cables keep costs down, and PUR unshielded cables resist oil and wear.
PVC Shielded Sensor Cable
The PVC shielded sensor cable carries a screen over its cores. It keeps analogue sensor signals clean near motors, drives and welding equipment. We recommend it wherever electrical noise can distort a reading.
PVC Unshielded Sensor Cable
This is our most economical sensor cable. It suits digital switching sensors in dry panels and light machinery, where the signal is on or off and interference has little effect.
PUR Unshielded Sensor Cable
PUR unshielded sensor cable is built for harder duty. Its PUR-based outer sheath resists abrasion and oil, which keeps it working on machine tools, construction equipment and outdoor installations. The cores are stranded to a bundle for flexibility. Flexing bend radius is 10 × cable diameter.
Sensor Cable Specification
The sensor cable specification below applies to our PUR unshielded construction. Datasheets for PVC shielded and PVC unshielded versions are shared with every quotation.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Superfine bare copper strands, multi-strand (VDE 0812) |
| Insulation | PVC-based compound |
| Stranding | Cores stranded to bundle |
| Outer sheath | PUR-based compound, black (similar to RAL 9005) |
| Temperature range, flexing | -5°C to +70°C |
| Temperature range, fixed installation | -40°C to +80°C |
| Minimum bending radius | Flexing: 10 × cable diameter; fixed: 5 × cable diameter |
| Flame retardance | IEC 60332-1-2 |
Sensor Cable Core Colour Codes
Our sensor cables follow a fixed colour sequence for 3, 4 and 5-core versions. Matching colours cut wiring errors at the sensor connector.
| Number of cores | Core colours |
|---|---|
| 3-core | Brown, blue, black |
| 4-core | Brown, white, blue, black |
| 5-core | Brown, white, blue, black, grey |
Sensor Cable Applications
Sensor cables link measuring devices to control systems across many industries. Typical uses on our order book include:
- Pressure sensors measuring oil, gas and water in industrial, automotive and aerospace systems.
- Temperature measurement points and building control systems.
- Position sensors on construction equipment, where the PUR sheath takes the abrasion.
- Weighing systems and load cells in process plants.
- Vibration sensors used in railway, aerospace and automotive testing.
- Traffic sensors for speed and red-light cameras, plus motion detection camera systems.
Sensor leads that move with a machine axis last longer inside a cable carrier as drag chain cables. Shielded data runs between PLC and field devices are handled by our data cables in LiYY and LiYCY constructions.

Sensor Cable FAQs
What is a sensor cable?
A sensor cable is a flexible multi-core cable that connects a sensor to its controller, carrying supply voltage and the measurement signal.
What is the specification of your PUR sensor cable?
Our PUR sensor cable uses superfine bare copper strands, PVC-based insulation and a black PUR sheath. It works from -5°C to +70°C when flexing and -40°C to +80°C when fixed. Flame retardance is to IEC 60332-1-2.
Should I choose a shielded or unshielded sensor cable?
You should choose a shielded sensor cable for analogue signals near motors or drives. Unshielded cable works well for digital on/off sensors in low-noise areas.
Are you a sensor cable manufacturer in India?
Miracle Cables is a sensor cable manufacturer in India, based in Mumbai since 1997. We produce PVC shielded, PVC unshielded and PUR unshielded sensor cables.
What core colours do your sensor cables use?
A 3-core cable uses brown, blue and black. The 4-core adds white, and the 5-core adds white and grey.
