Control Cable Manufacturer in India

Miracle Cables has manufactured specialty wires and cables in India since 1997, and control cable is one of our core product lines. We are a control cable manufacturer and supplier headquartered in Kanjurmarg, Mumbai, with production facilities in Maharashtra.

Our range covers 12 control cable constructions. PVC control cables are made to IS 1554 Part 1, and XLPE control cables to IS 7098 Part 1. Both standards sit under our IS product licences. For machine wiring, buyers choose from the JB-500 colour-coded and JZ-500 number-coded series: unshielded, with a tinned copper braid (CY) or with a steel braid (SY). IS 694 flexible cables and harmonised H05VV-F and H07VV-F cords complete the line.

Our Products

Control Cable Types We Manufacture

We produce control cables in 4 families. They are IS 1554 PVC cables, IS 7098 XLPE cables, the JB-500 and JZ-500 flexible series, and IS 694 or harmonised flexible cables.

PVC Control Cables to IS 1554 Part 1

PVC control cables to IS 1554 Part 1 are the standard choice for fixed control wiring in Indian plants and buildings. We use solid or stranded bare copper conductors to IS 8130. Insulation is PVC type A or type C to IS 5831, picked to suit the circuit. The inner and outer sheaths are PVC type ST-1 or ST-2. Armoured cores get galvanised iron round wire or flat strip, and FR or FRLSH sheaths are available on request.

XLPE Control Cables to IS 7098 Part 1

This range uses cross-linked polyethylene insulation. XLPE carries a continuous conductor temperature of 90°C, against 70°C for PVC, so buyers specify it for warm switchrooms and trays shared with power cables.

JB-500 and JZ-500 Flexible Control Cables

The JB-500 and JZ-500 series are our flexible machine cables. JB-500 identifies cores by colour. JZ-500 uses black cores with continuous numbering to DIN VDE 0293, plus a green-yellow earth core in the outer layer on 3 cores and above.

Conductors are fine tinned copper wires stranded to Class 5 (DIN VDE 0295 and IEC 60228). The CY versions carry a tinned copper braid with approximately 85% coverage for interference-free signal transmission. SY versions use a steel braid for extra mechanical protection. PUR-sheathed JZ-500 cables suit oily and abrasive shop floors.

The JZ-500 CY cable resists UV radiation, ozone, microbes and diluted acids. That’s why plant engineers install it in sewage-treatment plants, composting works and greenhouses. Its minimum bending radius when flexing is 7.5 × cable diameter.

IS 694 Flexible Cables and H05VV-F / H07VV-F

Single-core and multi-core PVC flexible cables to IS 694 handle panel wiring and light equipment connections. Machines built to European harmonised codes use our H05VV-F (300/500 V) and H07VV-F (450/750 V) cords.

What Buyers Get From Our Control Cable Range

Panel builders and plant engineers source control cables from us for 4 practical reasons.

  1. IS-licensed production. We hold product licences for IS 694, IS 1554 Part 1 and IS 7098 Part 1, so cables for Indian projects arrive with the standard already met.
  2. Screening is matched to the electrical noise at site. Simple switching circuits run on unshielded cores, while signal lines near drives and motors get the CY copper braid.
  3. Build-to-order cores and sheaths. Core count, colour or number coding, PVC or PUR sheath, and armour are all set to your drawing.
  4. Every drum is traceable. Our SAP-based tracking follows material movement from raw copper to dispatch, inside an ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified system.

Control Cable Applications

Our control cables serve fixed and flexible wiring in these areas:

  • Control panels and motor control centres: IS 1554 and IS 694 cables for switching, interlocks and indication circuits.
  • Machine tools and packaging lines: JZ-500 number-coded cores speed up termination on multi-core runs.
  • Water, sewage and composting plants: JZ-500 CY resists microbes and diluted acids in wet, aggressive rooms.
  • Process automation: screened CY cables connect PLC I/O to field devices without signal interference.

For cables that flex continuously inside cable carriers, drag chain cables with FD construction give the longest service life. In furnace zones and foundries, a silicone control cable handles the heat. Analogue process signals travel best on pair-shielded instrumentation cables.

Control Cable FAQs

What is a control cable used for?

A control cable is used to carry low-power signals and switching commands between control panels, sensors, drives and machines. It connects the devices that start, stop, monitor and regulate equipment.

Our control cables follow IS 1554 Part 1, IS 7098 Part 1 and IS 694, plus the harmonised H05VV-F and H07VV-F codes. The JZ-500 series uses core numbering to DIN VDE 0293.

The difference is core identification. JB-500 uses coloured cores, while JZ-500 uses black cores with printed numbers. Number coding is quicker to terminate on cables with many cores.
